Wood Stone woos Hatco stalwart to lead global sales

Experienced campaigner joins wood-fired pizza oven manufacturer after more than two decades with market rival

A former stalwart of Hatco has shifted focus to a new category of the cooking equipment market by joining up with Wood Stone.

Brad Stoeckel, who spent 23 years at Hatco, will serve as vice-president of global sales at the wood-fire pizza oven maker, which is based in Bellingham, Washington.

He will oversee all aspects of the brand’s sales strategy and technical services group, driving growth and strengthening its presence across the US and global markets.

Mr Stoeckel oversaw domestic and international sales efforts during his time at Hatco, while his background as a chef gives him a deep understanding of the foodservice industry and the role that specialist cooking equipment can play in delivering a menu.

Chris Trout, president and CEO of Wood Stone, said: “We are excited to have Brad join our team as vice president of global sales.

“His culinary background, coupled with his extensive experience in this industry, is a great fit for Wood Stone, and we are confident that Brad will be a valuable asset to our team. Together with the other leaders in the company, he will help us take Wood Stone to the next level of growth.”

Wood Stone manufactures a range commercial cooking equipment, including stone hearth ovens, plancha griddles, rotisseries and charbroilers.
