Winsight has announced two key recent executive appointments to facilitate its continuing rapid expansion.
The firm, which is the leading provider of business research, news, trade shows and networking events for the foodservice industry, has appointed Kurt Reisenberg and Alanna Young to the board.
Resienberg, who was previously with business intelligence pioneer CEB for a quarter of a century, will take on the newly-created role of president.
In the role, which he will begin on September 3, he will oversee the Media & Events, Technomic and Exhibitions divisions.
Young, who was already with Winsight as chief operating officer, is promoted to president of Technomic, the firm’s research, insights and strategic consultancy branch.
She has been with the company for four years, and prior to that had 12 years’ experience leading research and membership services for Metrostudy.
Mike Wood, the CEO of the company, said: “During a challenging time for most business intelligence, event and media companies, Winsight has posted phenomenal growth by responding to the dramatic changes in the information needs of its audiences.
“The key is having leaders who can readily read the marketplace and respond with daring innovation and fresh thinking. Kurt and Alanna have proven they’re the creative strategists who will lead our businesses forward during a time of unprecedented change in the industries we serve.”
He added “Kurt is a proven business builder and inspirational leader who will focus on fostering integration among our divisions.
“Alanna has terrific leadership and communication skills, is well-versed in product and technology, and has a true passion for the Technomic business. She is the perfect person to lead that business forward as we explore new growth avenues.”
