Winholt Equipment Group has named Kevin Yates as vice president of business development and Michael Carlson as vice president of sales.
The pair will work together and with the New York-based company’s regional sales managers and foodservice reps to grow the business and improve service levels in the industries that it serves.
Mr Yates has a proven track record in achieving top line sales growth and bottom line margin contribution through brand management, strategy development and building customer relationships.
With 23 years’ industry experience, he will be responsible for growth and new business development in his expanded role.
Responsibilities will include directly growing sales of new national customers, market and product segments, and ensuring the company develops products to support the needs of its customer base.
Meanwhile, Mr Carlson, previously the catering equipment manufacturer’s director of foodservice sales and national accounts will now head its sales activities.
He is a customer-centered sales professional with more than 15 years of consultative sales and relationship-building experience, coupled with strong leadership skills.
Mr Carlson will be focused on its three core business segments: foodservice, retail/supermarket and material handling, which includes supply chain and e-commerce solutions.
