Welbilt insists its efforts to design energy efficient foodservice equipment products continue to “move in the right direction” after landing a 2019 Energy Star Partner of the Year award for Sustained Excellence.
The accolade marks the tenth consecutive year that EPA has recognized Welbilt for its continued commitment to energy efficiency.
“We are truly proud of our long-standing partnership with Energy Star,” said Maribeth Kelly, marketing communications and services manager at Wlebilt.
“Such recognition proves that we moving in the right direction by designing and producing innovative energy efficient foodservice equipment, while remaining committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the environment.”
Welbilt’s accomplishments were recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. earlier this month.
The highest honor among Energy Star Awards is the Energy Star Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Award.
EPA presents the Sustained Excellence Award to partners that have already received Energy Star Partner of the Year recognition for a minimum of two consecutive years and have gone above and beyond the criteria needed to qualify for recognition.
