Welbilt celebrates winning Pasco County business award


Welbilt is celebrating being named Large Business of the Year at the 33rd Annual Pasco EDC Awards.

The awards event, which were held on September 5 at Saddlebrook Resort Wesley Chapel, Florida, is regarded as the county’s premier business event, and drew a crowd of over 500 people.

Joel Horn, Welbilt’s executive vice president & general counsel, attended the dinner to collect the award on behalf of the company.

He said: “We are honored to receive the Large Business of the Year Award at this year’s Pasco EDC Awards.

It is a fantastic endorsement of our continuous drive to bring innovation to the table for our customers around the world.

“We are also delighted to be a part of the growing Pasco County and greater Tampa Bay business community – it was wonderful to meet with those who make it such a vibrant place to do business.”
Bill Cronin, president and CEO of Pasco EDC, added: “I am very happy this honor was bestowed upon Welbilt as they continue to grow and show their commitment to Pasco County.”

Founded in 1987, the Pasco EDC strives to develop Florida’s most competitive climate for business growth by providing programs to businesses, based in the North Tampa Bay area and enhance the economic vitality of Pasco County.
