Welbilt and Apex partner for automated contactless pickup lockers for foodservice


Welbilt has announced a new partnership with Apex Supply Chain Technologies, through which the pair will supply a line of food order pickup lockers.

The Flow-Thru 10,000 range will be manufactured and distributed under Welbilt’s Merco brand.

The food order pickup solution, Welbilt revealed, can be integrated into a restaurant’s existing digital ecosystem, providing deeper data and analytics to improve planning and efficiency.

Bill Johnson, Welbilt’s president and CEO, commented: “For more than 50 years, Merco has given leaders in the foodservice industry innovative ways to deliver quality food to its customers.
