Vollrath has hired Walter Bates as east regional sales manager.
He joined the business last month and is responsible for managing and developing the field sales managers and rep groups from Maine to Florida to drive Vollrath’s business and competitive position.
“With extensive experience, Walter is a proven leader with a wealth of knowledge in managing relationships, developing new accounts, and growing territory sales in various professional settings,” said Jill VanMenxel, director of sales for Smallwares and Countertop Equipment at Vollrath. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to the company’s sales leadership team.”
Before joining Vollrath, Bates most recently served as the national account manager for White Cap Construction Supply and also gained previous sales and management experience in the foodservice industry.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Information Systems from Lehigh University.
