Vollrath has announced the passing of former company president and CEO Thomas George Belot, at the age of 74.
Belot originally joined Vollrath in 1978 as director of management systems.
He subsequently rose the ranks, and ultimately served as president and CEO until his retirement in 2009.
During his time at the company, Belot championed investment in automation and technology that helped solidify the company’s position for the future.
Belot also helped create a Business Healthcare Coalition in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, which helped to negotiate healthcare costs and positively impacted over 25% of the local population.
Erik Lampe, current president and CEO of The Vollrath Company, said: “Tom Belot was a visionary leader who deeply cared about Vollrath and its people.
“His contributions to our company and community have left an indelible mark, and his legacy will continue to guide us as we look to the future. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.”
