Commercial kitchen equipment manufacturer, Rational, has produced a video focusing on the benefits of its new combi-steamer.
At the rational training center, Chef Thomas Wenger from BHS Corrugated and his team recently learned how to use the combi-steamer efficiently and in a variety of ways in the new company restaurant.
Wengers’ commercial kitchen is equipped with the latest SelfCookingCenter and VarioCookingCenter appliances, which are connected with the worldwide sites of the company through the digital platform ConnectedCooking.
Wenger said: “Because we no longer have to do many time-consuming routine tasks, this has given us a lot of new freedom.
“We have more time to try out new ideas. And customers have more time to eat together, chat and come up with ideas.”

Last month, Catering Insight USA reported that Rational had reported a surge in demand for combi steamers in the North American market.
The company said that combi steamers sales were a driving factor in the company’s global growth last year, with preliminary results revealing that it recorded sales of €778m ($883m) in 2018.
