Ventech hoods free up valuable space for small footprint kitchens

Alto-Shaam is expanding its range of ventless solutions with the new Ventech Condensation Hoods.

The Ventech and Ventech PLUS Type 1 hoods for Alto-Shaam’s Combitherm ovens maximize floorspace and improve workplace efficiency.

The company promises that the product condenses steam while capturing and removing grease-laden air, vapors and lingering smoke.

Meanwhile, the Ventech PLUS features a special HEPA filter along with condensation technology to capture and filter smoke-related vapor, grease and steam generated in the cooking process.

The hood draws power directly from the oven itself, and can come ready-to-use with an oven or can be installed later.

“Using Ventech hoods on their single or stacked Combitherm ovens, operators are able to maximize their space and reduce crowding in their kitchens by taking their ovens out from under the hood,” said Jeff McMahon, senior director of product management at Alto-Shaam. “The ability to arrange equipment without the restrictions of a traditional hood gives operators the freedom to design workflows that enable social distancing to protect their customers and employees – while keeping up with on- and off- premise demand.

“It costs approximately $2,000 per linear foot to install a traditional kitchen hood, and even more additional costs to run it daily.

“Ventech hoods eliminate these costs, take up significantly less space, and give operators greater control over their kitchen workflow.”
