Unox names new president for North American operations

New company boss has over a decade of experience in leadership roles

Unox has appointed Derrick Richardson as its new president for North America.

Richardson has over two decades of experience in the commercial kitchen equipment industry, over half of which he has spent in leadership positions.

He spent seven years at Calico Industries Inc. in the ‘90s, rising the ranks from phone sales representative to director national accounts.

Following stints at Stainless Inc. and Netspace, Richardson spent over a decade at Franke Foodservice Systems in Smyrna, Tennessee.

During his tenure, Richardson went from director of sales and marketing to executive vice president of operations, before ultimately serving almost three years as president.

Richardson then joined DTR Associates, where he spent seven years as president and CEO.

His appointment as Unox president comes following a career break and a six month stint as divisional vice president of government services at TriMark USA.

Of his appointment, a spokesperson for Unox said on LinkedIn: “We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Derrick Richardson as the new President of UNOX North America.

“With over two decades of experience in the commercial kitchen equipment industry, Derrick brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to our team.

“His proven track record of driving growth and innovation aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our valued customers.

“Derrick’s vision and expertise will be instrumental as we continue to expand our presence and enhance our product offerings in the North American market.

“We are confident that under his leadership, Unox will reach new heights of excellence and customer satisfaction.”

Unox was founded in 1990 and now has its own offices and commercial subsidiaries in 42 countries. Last year it generated turnover of $316m.

Recently, the company unveiled details for a new factory in North Carolina, which is due for completion next year.
