TransAct launches new ecosystem to address back of house needs


TransAct has debuted its new ecosystem, BOHA!, which it hopes will ease stress on back of house operations in the restaurant and foodservice industry.

BOHA! combines cloud-based Saas applications with hardware and accessories to automate a number of critical back of house duties.

The ecosystem made its industry debut at the National Restaurant Association show last week, and features several apps designed to assist foodservice employees in a number of tasks, including inventory management, temperature checks and food prep.

Also included is BOHA! Timer, which automates timed functions, BOHA! Food recall, which fully automates the food recall and withdrawal process, and BOHA! Checklist, which efficiently manages the scheduling of tasks.

TransAct Technologies’ chairman, Bart. C Shuldman, claimed that since its launch in late March, there has been a rapid growth in customer interest and a very positive industry response to the ecosystem.

He added that now is the perfect time for BOHA! to enter the market, with restaurant and food companies facing increased food and labor costs.

“BOHA! is an ideal way for restaurant and foodservice operators to use automation and reduce tasks in the back-of-house to thereby help increase efficiency and lower costs, “ Shuldman said.  

He concluded: “Our entire BOHA! team has been focused on developing what we believe to be the industry’s most revolutionary solution for managing critical back-of-house operations.”
