The Hansen Group hails industry stalwart as he heads into the sunset

Jim Myers

Georgia-based rep group The Hansen Group has announced the retirement of Jim Myers, a foodservice equipment veteran with more than 40 years’ experience in the industry.

Myers had been working in sales at the Hansen Group for over twenty years, with his role including developing specifications on everything from cooking equipment to serving lines to walk-in coolers and freezers including refrigerated warehouses.

Writing on Instagram, the company said: “Everyone please join us in congratulating the one and only Jim Myers (also responds to “walk-in extraordinaire” amongst a myriad of other names and pseudonyms).

“Jim has been in the foodservice business for 40 plus years and his wealth of knowledge in this industry is out of this world! This man knows everything there is to know about foodservice equipment, particularly refrigeration!

“The Hansen Group has had the pleasure of working alongside Jimmy for over 20 years and as sad as we are to see him retire, we know there are far better things that lie ahead!

“Thank you for your years of service and dedication to this industry. We are beyond lucky and proud to be your forever THG family. Enjoy the beach and please don’t be a stranger!”

The Hansen Group provides professional, ethical representation for manufacturers of food service equipment and supplies across Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida.
