Carpigiani has hired Dianna Nielsen as vice president of McDonald’s Global Account in a move that will see her support the fast food chain’s ice cream equipment requirements.
The appointment is a significant coup for Ali Group-owned Carpigiani as she previously held exactly the same role at arch rival Taylor Company, now part of the Middleby Corporation.
At Taylor she worked with McDonald’s to meet its needs around equipment solutions and new product development.
Prior to that, she held a national account management role with Delfield Company.
In her new post, she will assist in overall group support and development initiatives with her primary focus on McDonald’s, which operates 38,000 restaurants around the world. She will report to Penny Klingler, executive vice president of sales and marketing.
“Her extensive experience will complement and enhance Carpigiani’s ability to meet the needs of their customers,” the company stated.
Ms Nielsen is well-known in the commercial foodservice industry and boasts 27 years’ experience. Prior to her recent roles in the ice cream and gelato equipment market she held a national account management role with Delfield Company.
