Restaurant brand Nathan’s Famous signs industry veterans to lead growth

New York brand Nathan’s Famous has appointed two new members of senior staff to lead its franchise sales and development teams.

Erik Mallon joins as senior director of franchise development, while Jim Hicks is new director of operational services and training.

Both men have over 25 years’ experience in relevant industries, both nationally and internationally.

Mallon, known for the now international My Gym brand, will focus on the sales process from initial solicitation through contract completion.

Hicks, most recently, was country director, US West for Subway. He is now responsible for maximizing sales and managing the supply chain, as well as helping new franchisees through the restaurant development process.

Nathan’s Famous is a Russell 2000 company distributing across the US and internationally.

It ranked #22 on the Forbes 2014 list of the Best Small Companies in America, and last year sold over 700 million hot dogs.
