Rep group Apex unveils Minneapolis test facility to inspire operators


Apex Commercial Kitchen Company has opened a brand new modern test facility in Minneapolis that will provide operators with a dedicated space to develop concepts and set equipment strategy.

The rep group said the ‘Curate’ workspace, which is located in the heart of the city, is its “vision for the facility of the future”.

Outside sales manager Joe Klosterman explained: “When it came time to freshen up, we wanted to make sure Curate mirrored the vision of our customers and allowed for maximum creativity. It includes a fully functioning bar, kitchen, prep kitchen, warewashing and an 18ft wall for smallwares.”

Mr Klosterman added that the firm hopes the investment will provide a resource for end-user customers to enhance their businesses and make the right equipment choices.

“The idea of this design-forward, creative space is to give operators a space where they can curate their newest idea or concept and to bring an experience to the equipment procurement process,” he said.  

Apex Commercial Kitchen Company represents a number of key industry brands including ACP, Alto-Shaam, Crown Brands, Meiko, Pacojet, Taylor and Unified Brands.

The company offers sales and support coverage in multiple states across the Midwestern part of the US, with personnel in four major cities and test kitchens in Kansas City, Minneapolis and St. Louis.

Territories that it represents include Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Southern Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
