PepsiCo’s SodaStream water carbonation machine for the home will debut its new commercial offering, the SodaStream Professional.
In 2018, PepsiCo acquired the SodaStream, a water carbonation machine that can also add a variety of unsweetened flavours to water.
It is also touted for its positive environmental impact, reducing the purchase of plastic bottles.
From its upcoming release this fall, businesses will be able to introduce the SodaStream to customers with the new Professional model.
Following a successful pilot test with key customers, the mobile-enabled platform will allow people to personalize and digitally track their water-forward beverage intake while cutting back on plastic bottles.
“SodaStream Professional offers a unique way for consumers to personalize great-tasting hydration and reduce single-use packaging at the same time,” said Scott Finlow, chief marketing officer, PepsiCo Foodservice. “We’re thrilled to bring these hallmarks of the SodaStream brand to channels outside the home for the first time.”
PepsiCo estimated that, as a result of the SodaStream brand, as many as 67 billion single-use plastic bottles will be avoided through 2025.
