Nyco Products names industry veteran as new president

Foodservice equipment manufacturer, Nyco Products, has named John Wunderlich as its new president, replacing its former leader Robert Starhurski.

President of Nyco since 1988, Starhurski will remain active in the company as CEO and chairman of the board of directors.

Nyco labels Wunderlich as an ‘industry veteran’, and said since joining the company in 1998, as vice president of sales, he has contributed to the productivity and growth of the business each year.

Wunderlich said: “I am honored to take on this new role and excited about the opportunity to lead the company I have been so passionate about these last 20 years. I am also humbled to follow in the footsteps of long-time industry leader Bob Stahurski.”

Wunderlich has a master’s degree in speech communication from Central Michigan and following teaching stints in New York and Michigan he then moved to Chicago in 1981 to begin his career in manufacturing, sales and marketing in the sanitary supply industry.

He has previous experience at companies such as Daley International and ABC Compounding and has provided background and exposure to a variety of markets and industries.

Wunderlich is active in the Chicago Family Business Council, is a past president of the Greater Chicago Sanitary Supply Association and currently serves on the Nyco Board of Directors.

Nyco Products Company is a privately-owned manufacturer of high-performance national cleaning brands and private branded chemicals used in sanitary maintenance, food service, industrial, institutional and other specialty cleaning markets.
