The National Restaurant Association Show has unveiled a menu of new features for this year’s exhibition.
One of the new highlights planned for the event, which takes place in Chicago on May 16-19, is the addition of a fourth exhibit hall to the floorplan.
The new hall makes room for more exhibitors and new spotlight areas featuring cutting-edge trends.
It will also house the Beverage Alcohol for Restaurants at the Show section, where visitors will find mixology demonstrations and leading beverage/bar-related exhibitors.
A dedicated tasting stage, called Tasting Trends, will allow industry professionals to sample similar, trending menu items side-by-side.
It will put the spotlight on the most in-demand ingredients and provide a forum for visitors to enjoy themed tastings of trending products like plant-based proteins and sparkling water, as well as taste the FABI awarded food and beverage products.
NRA Show organisers are also planning a new interactive workshop on off-premise dining.
Operators will be able to take an in-depth look at off-premise dining and learn how to adapt to changing consumer preferences in a profitable way.
The new, multi-session workshop offers opportunities to work through real strategies with industry leaders, hear about others’ successes and challenges, and gain the tools needed to make takeout, delivery and more work for any business.
Last but not least, an enhanced International Trade Center will be created to facilitate meetings between businesses from all over the ballroom. It will be located in the Grand Ballroom.
