The assets of Bronx-based hollowware firm D.W Harber & Son have been purchased by Steelite International, a leading hospitality tabletop and buffet supplier based in the UK.

The purchase agreement, which was announced at last week’s National Restaurant Association show in Chicago, will see Steelite take ownership of D.W Haber & Son and Kenny Mack Designs.

D.W Haber & Son manufactures metal banquet and buffet products which are in use in venues throughout the world, including prestigious resorts and hotel groups, and it is hoped the acquisition will expand these operations further.

Haber & Son and believe it perfectly fits in with the best-in-class strategy of our products,” adding that, “David Haber and his team have done a terrific job expanding on the traditions of innovation, design, and quality for which the Haber family has done for more than 100 years.”

David Haber, current president and CEO of D.W Harber & Son will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition, and was very positive about the takeover.

“We could not be more excited for our products to join the Steelite International family,” he said. “It is a perfect combination of like-minded product development teams that consistently create unique, reliable foodservice equipment with a focus on durability, style, and functionality unsurpassed in the industry. The Steelite brand is synonymous with success, and we look forward to helping continue that trend.”
