Winsight, producer of the National Restaurant Association Show, has announced a one-off show dedicated to helping the foodservice industry recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
The Restaurant Recovery Summit will take place at the Sheraton Dallas, November 17-19, 2020.
Its content will also be available to view virtually around the world.
It will focus on key evolving areas of the industry such as labor, safety, sanitation and security, technology, supply chain, finance and operations.
Key speakers will include YUM! brands CEO David Gibbs, who took on the role during the COVID-19 outbreak, and Ritch Allison of Domino’s.
Winsight has confirmed that should the live event be unable to go ahead due to the ongoing pandemic, the virtual version will continue as planned.
Meanwhile, Welbilt are among the sponsors of the event, which is organised by Winsight in partnership with the National Restaurant Association.
Winsight assures the industry that the event will follow CDC guidelines and that attendance will be capped to ensure this.
Chris Keating, head of conferences for Winsight, said: “One of the lessons of history is that calamity inspires innovation.
“The restaurant industry is full of creative entrepreneurs who can work together to inspire the greatest comeback in business history.”
