New digital storefront launched by foodservice equipment dealers

A network of professional commercial foodservice equipment and supply dealers has launched a digital storefront which is being billed as “a radical new approach” to the way operators can shop online.

The Kitchen Spot, which has been created by PRIDE Centric Resources Inc., offers operators an “an integrated, personal and connected online foodservice-buying experience” by bringing in a network of expert national dealers.

The concept is being driven by three main elements: ‘local expertise’, with operators being matched up with locally owned dealership experts to guide them through the purchasing process; ‘shopper solutions’, with customers shown a range of handpicked options manufactured by well-regarded industry brands; and ‘a personal delivery experience’, with operators given several choices as to the most convenient and affordable pickup or delivery method.

The website is easily accessible, and has adopted the motto “you dream, we deliver” while the range of products available on the site includes general foodservice equipment, food and drink prep, tabletop and serving supplies, janitorial items, and disposable items.

Lisa Norgard, vice president of marketing at PRIDE, said: “For everything from ovens and refrigerators to kitchen storage and glassware, we believe that purchasing foodservice equipment and supplies, no matter the size or scale, should be personal and convenient.

“This inspired concept is a completely unique approach to the way foodservice equipment is bought and sold. By connecting customers to a local dealer expert, we’re putting people back into the process, to offer value-unique customer experiences.”

She went on to say that the “magic” of the new system is that in a business world characterized by constantly decreasing personal interaction, the real-life interaction element of The Kitchen Spot can be a real comfort to users.

Meanwhile, PRIDE’s president and CEO, Karin Sugarman spoke of the benefits the systems offers to participating dealers.
