North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) has presented two industry professionals with the 2019 President’s Award.
NAFEM congratulated Carol Wallace, former president and CEO of Cooper-Atkins Corporation and Clifford Baggott, president and CEO of Cres Cor.
The award recognizes a non-elected NAFEM volunteer who has donated their time and expertise for the betterment of the association.
Wallace participated in NAFEM activities for more than 20 years where she created and chaired the international committee.
Her work contributed towards a better understanding of global certifications and standards, created exhibit opportunities at worldwide trade shows for members through NAFEM-hosted pavilions, and global marketing opportunities.
She also served on the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Safety Advisory Council and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Industry Food Safety Council.
Elected to the NAFEM board in 1996, Wallace rose through the ranks as secretary-treasurer, chairing the finance and audit committee, and served as president-elect and president and chair of the executive committee in 2006-2007.
Baggott has also participated in NAFEM activities for more than 20 years, having served on the Member Services Advisory Council and chaired the Market Studies Committee.
Elected to the NAFEM Board of Directors in 2009, Baggott served two terms and participated on the member screening, finance and audit, and executive committees.
NAFEM said Baggott was instrumental in forming the association’s young executive forum, a committee dedicated to developing the next generation of industry leaders.
The awards were presented at The NAFEM Show, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando.
