Middleby has opened its 12,000 square-foot food processing protein innovation center in Illinois.
The new facility includes a Middleby kitchen, training center and an authentic period delicatessen.
The food processing center will be home to technical performance and product testing with food scientists and engineers on hand to evolve the latest in food technology.
The opening ceremony last month was attended by leaders in food production who led a series of talks focused around plant-based protein and sustainability.
Middleby Food Group president, Mark Salman, said: “It was an exciting day to open this protein center for excellence to accelerate industry progress in product development and innovation, as well as help our customers achieve better operating efficiencies.”
Next year, the center will be home to seminars and training on a range of topics related to food production.
