Middleby acquires Seattle espresso machine manufacturer

Middleby develops and manufactures equipment used in commercial foodservice, food processing and residential kitchens

The Middleby Corporation has acquired Synesso, a Seattle designer-manufacturer of semi-automatic espresso machines for commercial use.

Synesso creates energy efficient, low maintenance espresso machines, and has expanded quickly, reporting $10m in revenues.

Middleby develops and manufactures equipment used in commercial foodservice, food processing and residential kitchens.

Tim FitzGerald, CEO of Middleby, commented: “Synesso is a highly innovative brand and further expands our coffee and beverage platform. Middleby is well-positioned within the beverage category offering some of the most advanced equipment in today’s fast-growing coffee market.
