Regale Microwave Ovens has announced another worldwide patent for its popular Microwave Cavity Liner.
After more than a decade of development, the latest version of cavity liner boasts a special curved base, which the company says offers superior cooking performance and product robustness.
While the liner itself is a simple idea, the manufacturing process is immensely complex and has presented many obstacles.
The latest development means Regale, with Microsave, can join the unique ‘Patent Box’ network.
Patent Box is a special, low corporate tax regime used by several countries to incentivise research and development by taxing patent revenues differently from other commercial revenues, giving Regale a funding boost that will allow more R&D for the Microsave family.
Production of the Microsave cavity liners has now started in Chicago, providing it with a hub to serve the USA, Canada and South America.
This complements its production site in the UK, which supplies markets in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. With North America underway, the Far East is the next target market for the business.
The liners are well-known for their hygiene protection, saving money on unnecessary repairs and reducing downtime caused by base plate problems.
Microsave cavity liners are now available for models by Daewoo, Marren, Menumaster, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp and Valera.
