Miami-based dinnerware and supplies firm Front of The House has urged customers to take advantage of current prices before they are affected by a potential tariff increase.
The company issued an update regarding the effect that tariff increases on Chinese goods will have on its produce and said that although there would be no price changes as things stand, they may be forced into an increase if the situation escalates.
Although government policy has already levied a 25% tariff surcharge on goods imported from China, this is currently being absorbed by Front of The House.
However, the firm stated: “Should trade negotiations break down and the tariff surcharge increase or extend beyond the current levied items, we may have to implement a tariff surcharge or a price increase.”
The company has said that it will keep customers updated once President Trump has made up his mind regarding the possibility of levying additional tariffs, with an announcement expected by July 1st.
