LTI has waved goodbye to one of their longest serving members of staff after a long and successful career at the company.
Ben Shackelford retired last week having spent 43 years at the Georgia-based foodservice equipment manufacturer.
Shackelford’s most recent role was as director of research and development, having originally joined the firm as a refrigeration technician in 1976.
In his role as director, he managed UL certification tests and served as LTI’s in-house expert for mechanical innovation, as well as securing patents for QuickSwitch and TempestAir.
Writing on LinkedIn last week, the company said: “After 43 years of dedication and service to LTI, our Director of Research and Development, Ben Shackelford, retired yesterday!
“Ben has been incredibly instrumental in the technological advances LTI has been able to offer customers over the last four decades.
“From the invention and patent of our TempestAir and QuickSwitch technologies to ensuring we comply with all UL safety standards, he truly has changed the way food is served.
“You’ll be so missed by Team LTI, and we wish you only the best in retirement, Ben!”
