Georgia-based manufacturer LTI has announced that its chairman, William E. (Bill) Casey, passed away last month aged 77.
Casey was a former president and CEO of the company, and had been serving as chairman since 2008.
Bill started his career at LTI after graduating from the University of Georgia in 1963, joining the company that had been founded by his father.
He learned the family business, and worked in many areas of the company for five decades.
As vice president of sales, he spent years traveling the country selling custom foodservice equipment, and was active in various foodservice shows, including the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM), which LTI joined in 1972.
Upon the passing of his father in 1994, Casey began his tenure as President & CEO of LTI until transitioning to the role of Chairman of the Board.
Under his leadership, many advances took place that helped evolve the company into an industry leader in the manufacturing of high-quality, durable custom counters and décor.
Casey passed away on July 24, with services held for his memorial on July 26.
