Leadership overhaul at Jackson as new president is appointed

Jackson Warewashing Systems has announced Jonathan H. Akin as its new president.

Akin steps up from his role as the company’s vice president of sales and marketing and has extensive experience in the foodservice equipment and sanitation industry.

A company statement said: “Jonathan’s sales, marketing, and business acumen will provide strong leadership to the Jackson Team and Brand, continue the expansion of the Jackson Product Portfolio, and continue to increase Jackson’s market share.”

Stepping into Akin’s old role is Steve Willoughby, who joins the company with over 30 years’ experience in the industry.

His previous employers include ITW Foodservice Equipment Group and Welbilt Foodservice, while he most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for ACP.

In the role, Willoughby will be responsible for sales & marketing team leadership, driving revenue, contributing to product development and management, as well as other management responsibilities.

The company said: “Steve understands the current conditions of the foodservice equipment market and has a record of sales growth and delivering profit objectives. 

“He also has a strong background in Product Life-Cycle Management and Product Development.”
