Floridian gelato brand Jeremiah’s Italian Ice has announced the successful franchising of its business across the US, selling more than 50 franchises in less than six months.
It marks the first time Jeremiah’s has offered this opportunity to entrepreneurs in its 23-year history.
The brand has 23 locations of its own in Florida, but mid-2019 it announced plans to franchise nationwide.
Of 24 signed franchisees, 14 are multi-unit contracts. The brand expects to have 100 stores open or in development in the next two years.
Pivotal Growth Partners (PGP) is facilitating this US growth.
Its co-founder, Cameron Cummins, commented: “The frozen dessert segment is demonstrating a renewed focus on high-quality products and a millennial-driven emphasis on unique products, customization and diverse flavors.
“The timing is ripe to hit refresh in this category and join the Jeremiah’s revolution of the $28 billion frozen treat industry.”
