European foodservice trade show, Internorga, has opened the doors of the Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH in Hamburg, Germany to welcome thousands of catering professionals flocking to see the industry’s latest innovations.
The event expects to see more than 1,300 exhibitors from 25 countries and 95,000 trade visitors during the March 15-19 period.
The trade show will be accompanied by international conferences, an extensive supporting programme, and innovative industry competitions.
A popular highlight in the past few years has been the ‘Newcomers Area’ where more than 20 start-ups in the commercial market present new and unusual products.
The Grill & BBQ Court has also established itself as a regular feature, a dedicated space which gives trade visitors the latest on grill and barbecue.
Drink trends are covered by the well-attended ‘Craft Beer Arena’ and ‘The Craft Spirit Lounge’ and international food trends are covered in presentations by trend researcher Karin Tischer at the ‘Pink Cube’.
Internorga will also be reflecting the increasing interest in vegan and vegetarian food and has once again partnered with ProVeg Deutschland, which will advise interested visitors on plant-based alternatives.
Claudia Johannsen, business unit director at Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH, said: “Internorga has been the starting point for so many success stories because this is where the whole of the industry gets together. This show is where inspiration meets innovation, where visitors can exchange views in an exciting atmosphere, and get fresh ideas for their own business.
“Companies that want long-term success have to keep their finger on the pulse of development, to keep on re-inventing themselves, and to surprise their guests day by day. Internorga is where hospitality and restaurant operators can take the lead with creative solutions and vital inputs.”
