Innovative Foodservice Group completes manufacturer purchase

Innovative Foodservice Group (IFG) has completed the acquisition of foodservice equipment supplier, JES Restaurant Equipment (JES).

The sale stands as IFG’s second acquisition as a Trivest Partners portfolio company.

Vivian and Eric Smith founded JES Restaurant offers equipment in 2008, the company supplies and furniture to the foodservice industry and is located in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Vivian Smith, JES Restaurant equipment president, said: “We are thrilled to join the IFG team and we see that this partnership will generate even faster growth with access to a broader range of competitively priced products and distribution capabilities nationwide.”

IFG plans to look for additional add-on opportunities to build scale and expand the presence of the company.

Formerly registered as BJ Beltram, IFG currently operates foodservice equipment distributors including B&J Food Service Equipment, Beltram Foodservice Group and the Louis Wohl Group.

One year ago, the distributor purchased Louis Wohl and Sons, which is headquartered in Tampa, Florida.

Louis Wohl offers design and build capabilities, foodservice design consultancy and wholesale distribution of supplies and equipment to hospitality, restaurant, and healthcare industries.
