PrecisionBrew Air-Heated Shuttle Brewers by Grindmaster has been named as one of The National Restaurant Association’s top 25 Kitchen Innovations for 2019.

Winning recipients will have addressed operator concerns covering labor, inventory management, cleanliness, energy and water efficiency, food safety, sanitation, cross-functionality and space-saving measures.

Grindmaster’s new Shuttle Brewers feature an advanced touchscreen which “simplifies” and “streamlines” brewing and operations, by showing detailed settings for time, temperature and pulsing to match roasters’ specs.

It has a magnetically driven agitator which is designed to prevent suspended solids from settling and shuttles and are heated by recirculating hot air, rather than electric coils that cause hot spots and scorching.

The company said that the model’s ‘Portable Encapsulair Shuttles’ will also help maintain coffee and flavour by keeping air between internal chambers.

Additionally, users are able to see the blending through the virtual sight glass with multi-colored lights, but with no sight glass to clean.

Grindmaster is a manufacturer of hot, cold and frozen beverage dispensing equipment, including coffee machines.

In 2017, the company was acquired by Electrolux in a bid to broaden its offering in foodservice business and has since pushed the growth of the Professional Products business area by increasing its access to the US market.
