IFMA announces 2019 executive committee and board of directors


International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA), a trade association comprised of food, equipment and supply manufacturers, has elected new officers and directors for its 2019 board.

Bill McClellan, senior vice president and general manager frozen business unit at Dawn Food Products, has been appointed as chairman of the board.

The IFMA said that McClellan brings “unique insights” in addressing cutting edge developments within the foodservice industry.

McClellan will lead the board in shaping IFMA’s Food Future 2025 framework which focuses on the consumer food journey, operator landscape and go to market strategies.

McClellan said: “I am looking forward to serving as chairman alongside our dynamic board of directors. We are in an evolving industry that is moving at such a rapid pace. I’m privileged to be guiding our talented thought leaders as we navigate this new age while advancing IFMA’s vision and mission.”

IFMA’s board of directors identified the need for new data and new models to better understand changing consumer needs, the evolution of operators, and new disruptive market strategies.

IFMA executive committee board members will also include Perry Miele from Nestlé Professional North America as first vice chairman, Michael Cannon from Surlean Foods as vice chairman and Malcolm Simmonds from Weston Foods Foodservice as vice chairman and treasurer.

Four new members have also been elected to IFMA’s board of directors, including: Jennifer Brizzolara from McCain Foods, Ashley Peeples from Aryzta LLC, David Rizley from Essity Professional Hygiene and John Sattem from Coca-Cola foodservice.
