Hoshizaki America has confirmed the formal appointment of Chris Karssiens as president after serving as interim president since March 25.
Karssiens, who prior to that was senior vice president of sales and marketing, will be responsible for leading the refrigeration and ice machine maker’s North American growth.

He will work strategically with Hoshizaki Japan to build on new opportunities created by the events of the past year.
Karssiens said: “We have a strong team, which is agile and ready to capitalize on growth for value creation.”
Yasuhiro Kobayashi, COO and president of Hoshizaki Corporation, said: “I would like to thank Chris for fully embracing our company challenge and expectations. The past year has taught us that we all do better when we choose to work together transparently, with strong communication, and trust.”
