Hoshizaki America has released a statement detailing its reaction to the “unprecedented and evolving situation” surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.
In it, Hoshizaki said that it will continue operations as normally as possible, with some changes to mitigate risks brought on by the coronavirus.
The precautionary measures include: limited visitation to Hoshizaki facilities; communicating via email, telephone and video call where possible; the postponement of its Service School Training program; as well as the postponement of all trade shows in March and April.
Despite these measures, the brand confirmed: “Communication with our supplier base is ongoing and we are currently maintaining the normal flow of products.”
This response, Hoshizaki said, is based on the latest coronavirus reports from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The statement concluded: “Precautionary measures for health and safety have been taken in our facilities and we have a dedicated team managing our efforts. We are committed to support you during this uncertain time and we will get through this challenge together.”
