Homer Laughlin China Company (HLC) has launched Quarry, a new line of dinnerware which comes in a muted grey color.

The new line is intended as a more interesting alternative to plain white dinnerware, while still ensuring the main focus is on the food rather than the plate it is being served on – with the company describing it as “as a dramatic backdrop for chefs’ creations.”

Speaking about the new product, HLC’s foodservice and general marketing manager Katie Bricker claimed: “We made Quarry for chefs who wanted a neutral color palette that wouldn’t clash with or compete with different types of cuisine and were looking for something with more presence than white.”

Bricker added that she was eager to see the ways in which chefs might put the new dinnerware to use, describing the product’s satin finish as “nuanced and variegated.”

HLC is the largest domestic tableware manufacturer in the US and Quarry is the latest in a long line of fashionable and innovative product lines.
