Hillphoenix, a pioneer in designing environmentally sustainable refrigeration systems, has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) GreenChill 2018-19 Store Certification Excellence (non-supermarket) award.
This award recognizes the manufacturer of commercial systems that has installed more advanced refrigeration systems in GreenChill-certified stores than any other partnering manufacturer in the past year.
During this year, Hillphoenix systems were installed in over 85% of the GreenChill-certified stores.
This is Hillphoenix’s 8th successive GreenChill recognition since the program launched in 2007.
Scott Martin, director of business development and industry relations for Hillphoenix, accepted the award for the company at the Food Marketing Institute Energy & Store Development Conference in Dallas, TX.
He said: “We are proud to be a founding member of the EPA’s GreenChill program and very appreciative of the recognition of Hillphoenix’s continuous efforts to advance sustainable technologies in partnership with customers on best practices.
Tom Land, Manager of the EPA’s GreenChill program, said: “Hillphoenix continues to demonstrate notable environmental leadership through their design and installation of a variety of advanced refrigeration systems for many food retail companies.
“Hillphoenix should be proud of their valuable contributions to the adoption of environmentally friendly refrigeration.”
Hillphoenix serves numerous industries including Foodservice and Convenience Stores.
