The first meeting of the Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association’s (FEDA) new Industry Technology Committee has now taken place.
FEDA says that the role of the committee is to “examine our industry’s data and system challenges and make recommendations to address those challenges.”
And at last month’s meeting the group discussed data initiatives recommendations proposed in a new FEDA member assessment report, with topics including how different types of data might be addressed through a standardization process.
The committee is composed of distributors and dealers (including members of FEDA’s Young Industry Leaders), manufacturers, service reps, and AutoQuotes’ representatives.
It was co-chaired by Brad Pierce, president of Restaurant Equipment World and Eric Ellingson, executive vice president of Bargreen Ellingson, Inc.
The other committee members are: Paul Bartelt, CEO and president of The Vollrath Company; Jameel Burkett, president of Burkett Restaurant Equipment; Joe Carlson, president of Lakeside Manufacturing; Allison Cody, executive director of MAFSI; Jim Contardi, CEO of AutoQuotes; Emmanuela Delgado of Parts Town; Mason Greene, president of Hotel & Restaurant Supply; Erik Koenig, vice president of Heritage Foodservice Equipment; Ted Macksam, business analyst at Hatco; Jacob Morgan, director of inventory management at TriMark Strategic; Eric Schmitt, vice president of Rapids Wholesale Equipment; Radek Stypulkowski, director of product management at AutoQuotes; and Cindy Zbytniewski, director of customer service at Alto-Shaam.
FEDA has also recently announced that it is set to move to a new location, leaving behind the Elgin office which had been the association’s home for the past twelve years.
The new location will be in Rosemont, which is closer to Chicago and is a hub of great meeting, hotel, and fly-in options, according to FEDA.
The first meeting at the new headquarters will take place in November.
