The Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association (FEDA) has encouraged its members to nominate eligible staff members for its Young Industry Leaders (YIL) programme.
The programme, founded in 2018, identifies and develops fresh talent with the foodservice equipment and supplies industry and offers several benefits to those selected.
These include networking events among peers, leadership positions at FEDA events and conferences, and development opportunities where participants can learn from many of the leading minds in the industry.
The association has urged member companies to nominate up to two young professionals to participate.
The nomination process is straight-forward; all that is necessary is for a senior leader of the organization to sign a nomination form and the YIL applicant to complete an application form, both of which should then be emailed to Tim O-Connor, FEDA‘s Communication Manager.
Applicants should be under the age of 40, serve in a full-time role within a FEDA member organization and be responsible for managing people or a process.
In addition, they should have the authority to make strategic decisions, play an active role in problem-solving and conflict management and be a team player.
Those who sign up
will be invited to participate in the two YIL retreats that will be held this
fall.The first of these takes
place at The Vollrath CO. from October 7-8 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and the
second at Heritage Parts from November 19-20 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
