FEDA has announced that it is now accepting registrations for its two Young Industry Leaders (YIL) retreats this fall.
The retreats will be held from October 7-8 at Vollrath in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and from November 20-21 at Heritage Parts in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
They are focused on leadership development and are open to anyone who is a member of FEDA’s YIL group.
The Vollrath retreat will be hosted by the manufacturer’s CEO and president Paul Bartelt and will cover the leadership model presented in “The Leadership Challenge,” written by James Kouzes and Barry Posner.
Participants are asked to read the book as part of their
preparation for the group discussions and breakout activities during the
retreat.
Meanwhile the Heritage Parts retreat will be hosted by John
McDonough and Erik Koenig, the firm’s president, and vice president of
strategic marketing and product content respectively.
The discussion at this retreat will center on “Leadership in the Age of Digital Distribution” and attendees are asked to read “Pivot to the Future: Discovering Value and Creating Growth in a Disrupted World” by Omar Abbosh to familiarize themselves with the topic.
