Electric Motor Repair Company (EMR), a Maryland-based service agent for the commercial foodservice equipment industry, has appointed a new head of marketing.
In her new role, Emily Martin will be responsible for public relations, advertising, creative development, and overall brand management.
Martin will help market the company across existing territories which include six branches across eight service regions, and beyond into growth markets and service offerings.
Martin studied at the University of Maryland and comes to EMR from Rooftop Communications LLC, where she served as an account director for over eight years.
During her 13 year stint at Rooftop she managed full-service accounts and was responsible for market research, media planning, social media management and public relations.
In her last four years with the firm, Martin worked with EMR, which was a client of Rooftop.
EMR is a provider of service, repair, installation and sales to the commercial kitchen and industrial services sector.
Founded in 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland, EMR is a third generation family-owned and operated company which has six service locations across the mid-Atlantic region and services equipment from over 250 manufacturers.
