Denver Cutlery grows during pandemic to land coveted dealer award

Denver Cutlery has landed the prestigious Dealer of the Year accolade at Nissco Restaurant Dealer Group’s annual awards, which were held virtually this year.

The organization said that Denver Cutlery, which has been operating for more than 50 years, won the top prize for its ability to not only thrive, but move forward with its strategic business plans and significantly grow its volume during the pandemic.

Denver Cutlery also won the New Horizons Award for breaking through barriers and growing its annual volume by double digits, along with six other dealers. This includes: Churchich Restaurant Equipment, Contract Equipment Specialist, KLR Services, T&C Restaurant Equipment & Supply, Tinkel’s and Warren Equipment Company.

The Rising Star Award, for racking up strong growth in 2020, went to Camden Bag & Paper, Cary Restaurant Supply, Hong’s Restaurant Equipment & Supplies and Pro Kitchen.

Additionally, a new accolade, the Resilience Award, was created to recognize partners for their ability to adapt and pivot during 2020.

Dealer members A1 Restaurant Equipment, Aire-Rite Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, FS-1 Concepts and Macomb Restaurant Supply were each crowned for overcoming significant challenges while still growing their businesses.

On the supplier side, Atosa USA won the heavy equipment Vendor of the Year title, while Nemco bagged the light equipment equivalent.

Thunder Group secured the smallwares and tabletop award and Essendant picked up the speciality products award.

Meanwhile, Bally Refrigerated Boxes, Essendant, John Boos & Co, Imperial Range, Parts Town and U.S. Cooler all claimed a New Horizons Award for increasing their annual volume by double digits.

Nissco also highlighted vendor partner, Place1SEO, for going above and beyond by offering Nissco dealer members marketing enhancements that allowed them to successfully pivot and keep business moving forward.
