Continental Services acquires Sterling to broaden portfolio


Michigan-based contract foodservice provider, Continental Services, has announced its acquisition of Sterling Services.

This represents Continental’s fifth acquisition in the past 18 months. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The closing deal agreed that the Sterling Services’ leadership team and all other staff would come as part of the package and will now join Continental.

Following the purchase, Sterling Services will add corporate dining, micro markets, vending and office coffee to Continental’s portfolio of dining, refreshment services and events brands.

Continental’s clients include small to medium-sized businesses, larger corporations, colleges, universities, industrial sites, hospitals and medical centers.

Continental is a portfolio company of New Heritage Capital, a Boston-based private equity firm.
