The owners of a catering trailer packed with the latest foodservice equipment have offered a $1,000 reward after it was stolen just days before they planned to open up a new location.

Kurt Riske of Los Sombreros said the trailer was filled with$30,000 of equipment due to fit inside a new restaurant in Phoenix, including a pizza oven, refrigeration and a several grills.

Security cameras captured a man stealing the trailer after hitching it to the back of a SUV.

Mr Riske told FOX10 it was a “big hit”, adding: “It’s a tough deal, but we have to persevere and hopefully catch the guy, and the best-case scenario is we get our stuff back and we don’t have to go through insurance.”

The news channel said that the owners are determined to still open their Phoenix location on November 14 as planned.

They hope the $1,000 reward will lead to information that helps track down the missing unit.
