California-based Wilbur Curtis secures acquisition deal with European company

Coffee equipment manufacturer to sell assets to Groupe SEB in February

CCoffee equipment manufacturer, Wilbur Curtis, has reached an acquisition agreement with European firm Groupe SEB.

The settlement, which is subject to regulatory clearances, is due to close in February 2019.

Wilbur Curtis, based in California, has $90m in annual revenues and its client base includes coffee roasters, specialty coffee retailers, convenience stores, fast-food chains, hotels and restaurants.

The acquisition will stand as Groupe SEB’s second stretch into the coffee market, after buying WMF, a European company that manufacturers professional coffee equipment in 2016.

Groupe SEB has a portfolio of companies that includes All-Clad, Krups, Moulinex, Rowenta, SUPOR, Tefal and WMF.
