Southern restaurant franchisor Bojangles’ has announced the promotion of Robert Garcia to vice president of franchise operations, training and development.
Garcia joined Bojangles’ in 2019, leading its key national operations initiatives.
In his new role he will assume responsibility for all franchise support operations and will continue to lead the company’s training and development initiatives, reporting to COO Brian Unger.
Garcia started his career in the industry at Burger King, aged 14. After a masters degree in business and 21 years with Burger King, he moved to McDonald’s where he became vice president of US operations.
He commented: “I am very excited to take on this expanded role with a brand that I have come to appreciate and respect so much.
“We are one big family at Bojangles’ and our franchise partners are very important to us. We are committed to working harder than ever to help them be successful.”
COO Brian Unger, meanwhile, added: “Robert is an enthusiastic and very talented leader that we are lucky to have as part of our organization, and I am very excited for him to take on this key role supporting our franchise partners.
“He has decades of experience leading dynamic results-oriented teams and we look forward to him making an immediate impact on franchise operations.”
