Alto-Shaam is offering its full range of ovens and food storage equipment as a solution to the challenges faced by foodservice establishments during the coronavirus pandemic.
The company said that supermarkets and retailers are almost universally struggling to meet the demand left behind by the many closed cafes and other providers of food-to-go.
As well as facing issues with demand, labor shortages, high amounts of food waste and other rising costs are causing problems.
In light of these difficulties it is offering its own range to supermarkets and other retailers providing grab-and-go hot and cold food.
Its products include the multi-cook ovens, combi ovens, and rotisserie ovens.
Meanwhile its hot-holding solutions include cabinets, drawers, merchandisers, and cook & hold ovens.
Finally, there are the company’s QuickChiller blast chillers.
Furthermore, the Alto-Shaam team of corporate chefs will help customers with menu development, cook settings and product training.
Director of national accounts, retail, Tami Olson, said: “With the closure of so many self-serve hot and cold food bars, supermarkets and other retailers are recognizing they need to step up and fill the void, but some are starting from scratch and have understandable concerns.
“We are looking to work with these retailers in addressing their concerns and showing how quickly they can launch new strategies and install new equipment to give essential workers and customers the quality food they need.”
