Alto-Shaam has spent big on refurbishing and relaunching its dedicated product training and development centre and office in Shanghai.

The investment comes as part of an attempt to deliver growth for the company in the Asia-Pacific region, and sees the 2,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with the most up to date Alto-Shaam products.

This means that training and demonstrations are now available on the very latest Vector multi-cook ovens and innovative self-cleaning rotisserie ovens, in addition to more proven products such as Combitherm combi ovens and cook & hold ovens.

At the facility, which is located in the Putuo district of Shanghai, weekly demonstrations and product training are provided for professionals such as chefs and consultants, including support with recipe development.

The vice president of Alto-Shaam’s Asia-Pacific operations, Paul Harper, said: “Asia-Pacific is an important region for us and we are working hard to develop new opportunities and deliver growth in the region. Our focus on quality and innovation is enabling us to develop foodservice equipment solutions for customers that are genuinely world-class.”

He concluded: ““Our A Taste of Alto-Shaam events and training demonstrations provide chefs and kitchen staff with equipment they need to reach their foodservice goals. Our full line of equipment offers flexibility in the variety and volume of food they can serve, with the combination of speed and quality. This enables them to get the most value out of their equipment and maximise their return on investment.”

Alto-Shaam is a leading player in the foodservice equipment industry and is known for its innovations in ovens manufacturing, with headquarters based in Wisconsin.
